This policy explains what Somewhere Ours (“we”) collects when you use somewhereours.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we use your photos and details only to make and deliver your print, and we never sell your information.

What we collect

  • Your order details: the photos you upload, your notes, the words for your print, and your choices of style, size, and frame.
  • Contact and shipping details: your name, email, and the shipping address you enter at checkout.
  • Payment information: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Basic usage data: privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics about how the site is used. We don't use advertising cookies.

How we use it

  • To create your artwork, send your proof, and handle revisions.
  • To print, frame, and ship your order, and to send you order updates and tracking.
  • To answer your questions and resolve problems.

Your photos are stored privately. Location data embedded in photos (GPS and other metadata) is removed from every file we create from them. We'll only show your finished artwork in our gallery if you opt in at checkout, and never with your names.

Who we share it with

We share only what each partner needs to do its part:

  • Stripe, to process payments.
  • Our print and framing partner, which receives the approved print file and your shipping address.
  • AI illustration providers, which receive your photo through their business APIs solely to generate your artwork.
  • Hosting, storage, and email providers that run the site and send your order emails.

How long we keep it

We keep your photos and artwork while your order is in progress and for a limited time afterward, so we can help with reprints or replacements. Order records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting. You can ask us to delete your photos at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information by emailing hello@somewhereours.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
